Text is mildly dated, being originally published in the mid 80s, and notably so in the areas of paint and body technology. However, other areas on disasembly are spot on, and very valuable.

I think for any Gen I or II Mustang owner, this book has to be on the shelf.

Overall not too bad of a book. I'll just use it as a reference though. It has exploded views and some stuff on dissassembly and different things to look for, like common damage. BUT, and it's a big but, this book could use some updating. The pictures are really old and some of the tools and methods are outdated. Seeing them use an oxyacetylene torch to make cuts or weld a quarter panel on makes me just cringe....
I like it.

This book attempts to walk you through a restoration but fails due to the huge amount of information as would be really necessary to accomplish what needs to be done. I like it because generally, there is enough information to get you started and aware of possible issues you might encounter but not necessarily accurate due to the differences between model years. Regardless, it does touch on many aspects of restoration to give you a starting point for your own research.
