Rockne Motor Corporation only existed for two years (1932-33). By 1933 Rockne ranked as seventh in new car registrations in the U.S.
After ceasing Rockne production, the Studebaker Corporation elected to use the Rockne engine in their Commander models. In various displacements, the engine was produced through 1961; quite probably the longest engine block production in U.S. automotive history.
